4X-Weltmeister Joost Wichman ist in Sachen Pumptracks auf den Geschmack gekommen: Der schnelle Niederländer stellte die Pump Battle Series auch 2016 wieder auf die Beine. Im Jedermann-Format konnte man dabei selber auf den Pumptracks abgehen. Und man schaut den Profis beim Racing gerne auf die Finger! Die Serie kam sogar auch in eine Disco:
Die Pump Battle Serie ist für 2017 zurück! Auf dem Ziener BIKE Festival Willingen (Deutschland) wird es ein Pump Battle mit neuem Konzept geben. Fahrer/innen können sich ab jetzt auf der neuen Website pumpbattle.com online voranmelden.
Voller Vorfreude darauf, den Zuschauern, gemeinsam mit den Fahrern, eine geile Show zu liefern, schauen wir nach Riva del Garda. Dort wird am Freitagabend dem 28. April 2017 auf dem Marktplatz „La Rocca“ der erste Pumptrack Event stattfinden.

ONLINE WETTKAMPF & BIKE FESTIVAL PUMP BATTLE KING & QUEEN
Die Locations Riva und Willingen sind unterschiedlich, die Strecke und Zeitnahme sind aber zu 100% identisch.
Mit unserem Mobii Live Timing haben wir ein exklusives Konzept, mit dem die Bestzeiten von Riva und Willingen verglichen werden können. Folglich können wir in Riva nicht nur den „Pump Battle King/Queen of Willingen“ küren, sondern auch den King/die Queen der beiden Ziener BIKE Festivals gesamt. Zudem kann sich jeder Fahrer selbst mit seinen Freunden oder Rivalen vergleichen. Des Weitern können Fortschritte dokumentiert werden. So kann der Teilnehmer vergleichen, ob er die Runde in Willingen vielleicht schneller geschafft hat, als er sie in Riva zurückgelegt hat. Bericht zum Finale der 2016er-Serie in ENGLISH:
After Pump Battle stops in London, Berlin, Riva del Garda, Willingen and Arnhem it was time for the big finale, the Pump Battle Worlds. Time to crown the first ever Pump Battle World Champions. Over 80 BMX and MTB riders made their way to the Netherlands for the Pump Battle Worlds, 70 men and 10 girls. During the head 2 head finals, at midnight inside the club, there was only room for 16 men and 4 girls. On the world longest modular pumptrack ever built (over 250meters) riders battled to make the cut for the head to head finals.
QUALIFYING:
All riders had 2 chances to set their best time. After all chains were removed, it was time to get behind the Pro BMX Gate and give it their best shot. At the end it was Crankworx Les Gets Pumptrack winner, Chaney Guennet from France who was fastest, in front of Olympic BMX racer Twan van Gendt and Swiss DH rider Noel Niederberger. Laura Brethauer from Germany clocked the fastest time in the women category, in front of Geraldine Fink from CH and Junior BMX World Champion Ruby Huisman.
HEAD 2 HEAD FINALS
At midnight is was time for the big head 2 head battles, who would be crowned as the first ever Pump Battle World Champions. On the worlds smallest possible modular Pumptrack riders went head 2 head. Two riders dropping in at the same time, only one rider getting out… The rider who catches up the other rider qualifies for the next round, or if a rider gets of course he/she is disqualified.
Girls finals
Big favorite for the win was Laura Brethauer, but a mistake in Semi finale against Geraldine Fink forced her to take part in the small finale. Here she took the bronze. The big finale was a crazy one, after 20 laps BMX Junior World Champion Ruby Huisman took her 2nd title of the year leaving Geraldine Fink with the Silver. Congrats!
Mens finals
Big surprise of the evening was local 15 year old ripper, Tristan Botterham. He took out Crankworx Pumptrack champion Chaney Guest. In the other semi finale Noel Niederberger was up against another local, Mirko Hendriksen, who earlier that night took out BMX champ Twan van Gendt and former 4X World Champion Joost Wichman. But Noel kept it cool and qualified for the big finale, where he was up against Tristan. After the gate dropped it looked like Tristan would take the gold, but Noel re-grouped and started pushing.. at the end it was Noel who looked like to have the better endurance and was crowned as the first ever Pump Battle World Champion.
VORBERICHTE
Nach Pump Battle-Stopps in Berlin, London, Riva, Willingen, Chur und Arnheim ist es Zeit für das finale Rennen in 2016. Mountainbiker und BMXer aus dem ganze Welt werden am Abend kämpfen fur dem Titel “2016 Pump Battle World Champion”.

Am Samstag Nachmittag findet das Qualifikatio-Rennen statt. Auf dem längsten modularen Pumptrack der Welt, kann jeder Fahrer versuchen seine beste Zeit zu fahren. Die 16 schnellsten Männer und 4 schnellsten Frauen qualifizieren sich für das finale Rennen abends in der Disco.
Abends ab 22:00 Uhr, auf der Tanzflache der Diskothek “De Radstake”, fangen die Final-Läufe an.
Auf dem Mini-Speed Ring werden 2 Fahrer gleichzeitig starten, der Fahrer der als erste dem andere Fahrer überholt gewinnt dem Lauf!
Mit dem Beats von DJ Hruska wird es wieder ein Knaller von einer MTB/BMX Jahresabschluss- PARTY!

“PUMP BATTLE announces the 2016 World Series tour schedule, including the first ever Pump Battle World Championships.
In 2016 the PB World Series will visit well known venues worldwide, such as the BIKE Festivals in Riva del Garda (ITA) & Willingen (GER), Rocket Air Festival (CH), Berliner Fahrradschau and The Papendal Bike Event (NL). We will finish the season in Utrecht (NL), with the PB World Championships.
PUMP BATTLE WORLD SERIES
The PB World Series is an international tour of pump track races. This unique discipline brings all traditional bike disciplines, such as BMX (Race & Dirt) & MTB (XC, Dirtjump, DH & 4X) together.
The PB World Series sanctions events in 2 different categories:
PB World Series – Time Trial events
PB World Series – Dual Pump events
All these PB World Series events are qualifiers for the 2016 PB World Championships.
PB World Series – Time Trial events
By competing at a Time Trial event, you’re time will be registered and you will be placed in the online “Time Trial world ranking”, which can be found at www.pumpbattle.com.
All the Time Trial events use the same modular pump track lay-out (see attachment 1) and the same Mobii timing system. In this way, riders will be able to compare their times with everyone from around the globe who has ever competed at one of the PB World Series – Time Trial events.
PB World Series – Dual Pump events
Dual Pump events are head to head pump track events. By competing at a Dual Pump event, you will earn points for the Dual Pump world ranking. At the end of the season the PB Dual Pump World Series winner will be crowned.
How to qualify for the PB World Championships?
There are 2 ways to qualify for the PB World Championships:
PB World Series – Time Trial events:
The 32 fastest riders of the online Time Trial World ranking, at the 31st of September, qualify for the PB World Championships.
PB World Series – Dual Pump events:
The top 2 riders (men 16+ & Women category) of every single Dual Pump event qualify for the PB World Championships.
